Aviva Canada has today announced a new sports-collaboration product that the company says is a “tennis-focused brand experience for home and auto insurance through an extended partnership” with Tennis Canada.
Tennis Home and Auto insurance products are available for tennis fans and players. The insurance giant says the solution “powered by Aviva will provide exceptional insurance coverage at a competitive price through an easy-to-use digital experience,” with sales and service provided by SmartCoverage Insurance Services Inc.
In a press release on Monday, Aviva Canada says the products are available to all Ontario tennis club members and fans. The home and auto insurance policies are available from Aviva and its broker partners. Additionally, the company plans to roll it out to all tennis enthusiasts by 2018.
Aviva is also giving tennis club members an opportunity to win a chance to host Canadian number one and world number-six star, Milos Raonic, at their club. The player is a brand ambassador for Aviva Canada.
“This program is about matching the passion and commitment of tennis players and fans with the dedication we bring to serving our home and auto insurance customers,” said Jason Storah, executive vice president of broker distribution with Aviva Canada, “and it’s available to all of our brokers across Ontario.”
“We are absolutely delighted to expand our relationship with Aviva Canada in a way that benefits tennis at a very grassroots level,” said Rob Swann, chief commercial officer with Tennis Canada, in the release. “Aviva Canada is an outstanding partner with Tennis Canada and together we will continue to grow the great sport of tennis across the country.”
This is the latest sports-related coverage offered by Aviva this year. In January, the company debuted its team insurance for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Raptors franchises. The products drew criticism from several broker associations, including the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO), which has since suspended Aviva Canada.
