Aviva Canada has announced a partnership with a provider of a virtual claims platform which will allow its customers to have more help with claims. A collaboration with Chicago-based Snapsheet will allow more efficient app-based claims processing.
The company says this “marks the first step in bringing virtual claims to the Canadian market.”
By using the Snapsheet platform, Aviva Canada customers can take an image of damage with a smartphone camera and submit the photos to make a claim. The system will work through the AvivaExpress application, which is powered by the Snapsheet platform. A team will assess the images using software within the system to create a cost estimate for repairs.
Aviva then takes over and create the insurance payout based on the Snapsheet calculation. Users are in contact with Sanpsheet’s customer service team throughout the process. Aviva says the integration of the software allows it to process claims up to 40% faster.
“We’re thrilled to expand our services to the Canadian market with a partner who works to provide cutting-edge solutions to its customers,” commented Snapsheet CEO and founder Brad Weisberg.
“With Snapsheet’s great track record in the US, we’re proud to work with them and offer a transformative experience to our Canadian customers,” added Aviva Canada interim chief claims officer Lynn Anderson. “The results from our pilot program showed an immense improvement to our customers’ claims journey. The time it takes for an estimate to be completed is significantly reduced, helping defy uncertainty for our customers.”
